maillot de bain and pigtails

chloe is turning out to be quite the girlie-girl. she loves to try on her new outfits and prance around. here she is in her new bathing suit for summer beach time in la jolla. i like that they're like little boy shorts.

and she's also letting me put her hair in pigtails! please ignore the bruise on her face. she fell off the ottoman and crash landed right onto the hardwood stair. *insert very loud scream*

what was she doing on the ottoman, you ask? standing up exclaiming, "mama, i talllllll" and then hopping.

reminder, toddler+ottoman+bouncing=injury

there is something so sweet about this snap: her calm expression & sweet little pigtails. i just want to pinch those cheeks.

this morning the bunny picked up a fuzzy leaf and started "painting" the post in our backyard.

she wanted me to join in on her masterpiece...

now, we just have to decide which easel we're getting her for her 2nd birthday.

don and chloe went bowling with a few other daddy friends and kiddos a few saturdays ago. chloe thought it was more "dance party" than bowling, boogying down to the music.
